Alba Orbital is building the world's largest earth observation constellation, imaging everywhere on earth, every 15 minutes. We can see events within minutes such as wildfires in real time and have signed >$85m of LOIs, with both government and commercial customers paying pre-orders for imagery. To date we have launched 62 satellites into orbit (more than any all other yc companies combined), with more launching in 2026 onwards. We have launched a number of technology demonstration imaging satellites called Unicorns, which are the world's most advanced satellite under 1kg ever flown in orbit.

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We build and launch small, advanced imaging satellites to form the world's largest Earth observation constellation. Our satellites capture images of every point on Earth every 15 minutes to provide real-time data for customers monitoring fast events like wildfires. We have built and launched 62 satellites including our flagship Unicorn satellites, the most capable sub-1kg imaging sats flown.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We are based in Glasgow, Scotland and will continue to operate from here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Glasgow has aerospace talent and support for our hard tech work. We built the company here and will keep our base where our team and suppliers are located.
