What Wattvision does

Wattvision offers a simple idea: Monitor your energy consumption in realtime from the web. We started by selling the complete sensor and software solution, and now we are focusing on developing software that works with our hardware partners.

Sensors and software for energy tracking

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We make a sensor and accompanying software that monitors energy consumption in real time via the web. Early on we sold a complete hardware-software solution to let people track their electricity usage like a Fitbit for energy. Now we're focused on building software that can integrate with hardware partners' devices.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

I live in Princeton, NJ and the company is remote. After YC we would continue remote with a base here in Princeton.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We're remote because energy tracking hardware and users are geographically distributed. Princeton has been a convenient home base for development and partnership building without forcing a relocation.
