What VergeSense does

VergeSense is a Y Combinator-backed startup that develops an AI-powered sensing device for facility management. We build a sensor-as-a-system platform combining hardware and AI to provide occupancy analytics for facility managers. Our sensors collect data, including images, and run on-device machine learning models to process real-time occupancy information, which is sent to our cloud for further analysis and reporting.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in San Francisco, and the company is based here now and would remain here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Francisco has the right mix of hardware, AI talent, and real estate innovation. Being here helps us work closely with early customers and hire the engineers we need.
