What StrideQ does

StrideQ (formerly SliceQ) is the automated phone ordering system for restaurants which ensures no missed calls and no missed orders. Surprisingly, 33% of restaurant customers still prefer ordering via phone calls, but front desk staff is often busy and revenue is lost. After enabling StrideQ our customers have increased their sales by over 10%, even while dealing with staff shortages in covid times. Phone ordering is our wedge to become the point of sale system for all restaurants. StrideQ also streamlines dine-in and online orders in one single system. It helps to run restaurants more easily by effectively managing operations during weekend peak rush.

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We built StrideQ, an automated phone ordering system that handles restaurant calls so no orders or calls get missed. It captures phone orders, manages dine-in and online orders in one platform, and helps restaurants handle peak rushes without extra staff.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in Mountain View, California, and the company operates remotely, with the main team based here and distributed. After YC, we plan to keep the company in Mountain View but continue remote work.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We are based in Mountain View because that's where we started and live. We want to stay here since it connects us to tech talent and YC resources, but we work remotely to stay flexible.
