What Stipop does

Stipop is a monetization platform for character creators, or simply put, Patreon for character creators. We help independent character IP owners generate revenue directly from their audience with fun, dynamic features. Previously, Stipop was a sticker platform with 5,000 sticker creators, and 250K stickers and provided stickers to Canva, Teams, Google, and Adobe. We also provide sticker API and SDK to help chat apps improve revenue and user engagement. Stipop has been invested by Snap (through Yellow Accelerator), YC, Translink Investment, Strong Ventures, Next Ventures, and more.

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We built a platform that lets independent character IP owners generate recurring revenue directly from their fans. It's like Patreon but focused on character creators with features tailored to their needs, including a marketplace and APIs that improve engagement in chat apps.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in Santa Monica, CA and the company remains based here. After YC we plan to continue operating from Santa Monica to stay close to our network and talent pool.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Santa Monica has a strong creative and tech community which fits our focus on character creators. Our existing base is here so it makes sense to stay unless YC advises differently.
