What Pylon does

We build software that helps water and electricity distribution companies in emerging markets reduce losses caused by leakages, theft, and unpaid bills. Our platform connects to their existing infrastructure, monitors consumption data across hundreds of thousands of endpoints, and surfaces actionable insights that lead to revenue recovery and new income streams.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in Cairo, Egypt, and plan to base the company here after YC as well.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Cairo is where we know the market and have built our network of utilities. Operating from here lets us maintain close relationships with clients across Africa and nearby regions.
