What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We built ParadeDB, a Postgres extension that adds search capabilities with the power and flexibility users expect from Elasticsearch, but without its operational complexity. It lets developers add full-text, typo-tolerant search directly inside their existing Postgres databases, simplifying infrastructure and improving developer productivity.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in San Francisco, and ParadeDB is based here.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Francisco is our home and where our small team can connect directly with users and the startup community. After YC, it makes sense to stay where we have network access and can continue growing our product-focused team.
