Describe what your company does in 50 characters or less.

Our tech speaks for itself.

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We build speech synthesis software that lets developers create realistic digital voices. Our technology started as research at MILA lab and now runs in an API developers use to add synthetic speech to their apps.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in Montreal, QC, Canada and plan to keep the company based here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Montreal is where we did the research and built the core tech. The talent pool here and our connections at MILA make this the best place to keep building Lyrebird.
