We make Lockitron, a device that retrofits onto existing deadbolt locks and lets you lock or unlock your door via remote control or a mobile device. It replaces physical keys with a phone app, allowing users to manage access to their homes or offices easily without changing their entire door hardware.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in Palo Alto, CA and plan to keep the company based here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Palo Alto is where we found the right mix of engineers and hardware resources. Being here connects us directly to early adopters and partners in the hardware and IoT space.
