What IMPACT Drones does

IMPACT builds autonomous interceptor drones that ship in sealed containers. The box sits at the site it protects, data centers, power grids, airports, bases, with no crew on the pad. When sensors cue a hostile drone, an interceptor pierces its own frangible lid, launches, and rams the target, guided by onboard vision that keeps working when GPS is jammed. Legacy effectors cost $1M+ per shot against $30k threats; ours cost less than the threat and scale with the swarm, the same class of interceptor already downing Shahed drones over Ukraine. Sites subscribe to protection instead of buying missiles, hardware, reloads and monitoring included: Air Defense as a Service. 180M+ USD in signed letters of intent.

IMPACT Drones

Describe what your company does in 50 characters or less.

Air Defense as a Service for Civil Infrastructure.

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We build autonomous interceptor drones in sealed containers, deployed on the sites they protect. When a threat drone is detected by sensors, our interceptor bursts through its own lid, launches, seeks the target even if GPS is jammed, and rams it. Everything is included - hardware, resupply, monitoring - in a subscription: customers pay for air defense as a service, not missiles. Our product is for data centers, power plants, airports, and bases facing drone threats no legacy system can affordably stop.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

San Francisco, CA, USA; company will remain based here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We're based in San Francisco because it gives us access to both top-tier robotics talent and the AI ecosystem. Our customers include national infrastructure providers and enterprise sites, many of whom are here or easily accessible from SF.
