What Deed does

Deed makes it easy for employees to donate to their favorite charities and volunteer with great causes at work. Companies like Airbnb and Stripe use Deed to increase employee retention and happiness. Since launching publicly in January, we’ve increased our logo count by 4X with companies like DoorDash, Box, and Lob. We did this by making sure employees have the same awesome experience using their workplace giving tool as they do with their favorite consumer apps.

We build a platform that integrates with company workflows to help employees donate to charities and find volunteer opportunities. Our focus is on creating an experience employees actually want to use, similar to their favorite consumer apps, driving higher engagement and retention for employers.

We live in New York, NY, and plan to keep the company based here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We're based in New York because that's where we started building Deed and it's a hub for many of the companies we target, like Airbnb and Stripe, allowing us to work closely with early customers.
