We built Data Marketplace to help users who need specific datasets find and purchase them quickly. Buyers can post a data request outlining their needs, deadlines, and budgets. Sellers and aggregators respond with offers, and all data is available for immediate purchase and download in common formats like Excel, CSV, XML, and JSON.
We live in San Francisco, CA, and plan to keep the company based there after YC.
San Francisco puts us in the middle of a large tech and data community with access to customers and talent. It's the right place to build a marketplace like ours where both buyers and sellers of data are concentrated.
