What Convore does

Convore is an online platform that enables its users to communicate with groups in real time. Its users have the ability to join an existing group or create groups of their own. Convore allows its users to post topics and have conversations with friends about those topics. The platform also provides its users with both public and private groups. Convore was launched in 2011 by Eric Florenzano, Leah Culver, and Eric Maguire. It is operated from San Francisco, California.

We built Convore to make group communication simple and immediate. Users can join existing groups or create their own, post topics, and have real-time conversations. It supports both public and private groups, making it easier to chat with friends or communities without the noise and lag of traditional IRC.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We currently live and work in San Francisco, and Convore would be based here after YC as well.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Francisco has the developer community, technical talent, and network access we need to build and grow our product quickly. Being here puts us close to users and investors who understand consumer social technology.
