What Coasts does
A Coast (containerized host) is a local development runtime. Coasts let you run multiple isolated environments for the same project on one machine. As AI coding agents increasingly work in parallel across git worktrees, developers hit painful conflicts - clashing ports, duplicated databases, and fragile per-branch setup. Coasts solve this by giving each worktree its own fully isolated runtime, so multiple agents can build and test side by side without stepping on each other.

Localhost service isolation for git worktrees
Coasts is a local development runtime that lets you run multiple isolated environments for the same project on one machine. It solves conflicts like clashing ports, duplicated databases, and messy setup that happen when multiple AI coding agents or developers work in parallel across git worktrees by giving each worktree its own isolated runtime.
We live remotely and don't have a fixed base. After YC, we plan to remain distributed.
We value flexibility and the ability to build without geographic constraints. Being distributed lets us focus on product and users rather than location logistics.
