We build deep research agents that continuously gather insights by combining public and private data sources. Our agents surface non-obvious signals so engineers, product managers, and designers can make better decisions without slogging through tons of scattered information. Plus, we open source the infrastructure and libraries we build, like our most popular one which handles chunking and embedding and is used by OpenAI, Microsoft, and LlamaIndex.

We live in San Francisco, CA, and plan to base the company here after YC as well.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Francisco has the right technical talent and ecosystem for AI and developer tools. We already live here and have built relationships that will help accelerate Chonkie's growth.
