What Chaldal does

Chaldal.com is an online shop based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is a service rooted on the idea that shopping for necessities should not be a burden. At Chaldal, we believe that time is valuable to our fellow Dhaka residents, and that they should not have to waste hours in traffic, brave the weather and wait in line just to buy some eggs - which is why we deliver everything you need right at your door-step and at no additional cost! Chaldal is a work in progress, and we hope to get better over time. We are firm believers in using technology to improve Bangladesh, and we will continue to invest all our effort in pushing the boundaries of technology in this country.

Chaldal is an online shop delivering groceries and daily necessities to customers in Dhaka. We built a platform that allows busy city residents to order essentials from their phone or computer and get them delivered without extra cost, saving them time and hassle.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and after YC we will continue to base the company here because our market is entirely in Dhaka and this is where we can execute best.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Dhaka is the largest city and primary location for our customers. The barriers to entry and logistics are unique here, and being local allows us to solve our customers' problems directly.
