We are building Briefer, a collaborative workspace for data scientists and analysts to create interactive visualizations and data apps. Users connect to data sources, write SQL or Python code, collaborate through comments and multiplayer editing, and run their code on any compute environment they choose. It feels like Notion but built specifically for data workflows.
We currently live in São Paulo, Brazil and work remotely. After YC, the company would remain remote but we expect to spend some time in the Bay Area during the program.
We are based in São Paulo because that's where we are from and where we've built the product so far. YC offers access to a larger network and investors, so we want to be able to attend in person while continuing remote work.
