We built Baubap as an AI-powered lending app targeting people in Mexico who have limited or no access to formal credit. Our product uses machine learning to assess creditworthiness beyond traditional credit scores, enabling users to get microloans quickly and fairly through their phones.
We live and work in Mexico City, CDMX, Mexico. After YC, we would remain based here but keep some team members remote.
Mexico City is where the credit gap we address is largest and where our users are. Building locally keeps us close to our customers and data, which is essential for refining our AI models.
