What Autumn does

Autumn is open-source infrastructure over Stripe that allows AI startups to build their pricing plans quickly, and flexibly. We act as your app's DB and manage who's paying for what, track usage and manage customer feature access. YC companies use us because we make it easy to handle common pricing models like usage-based, credits, subscriptions, rollovers and more in 3 functions and no webhooks. As you scale, you get reliable billing, that you can change however you want without wrangling code (we handle versioning, migrations etc), and manage custom pricing too. Everything you could down the line (credits, multiple subscription groups, rollovers, referral program, usage analytics, centralized team billing etc), you can drop in at any point.

We built an open-source billing platform over Stripe designed specifically for AI startups. Autumn acts as your app's database for managing who's paying for what, tracking usage, and controlling customer access to features. It simplifies complex pricing models like usage-based, credits, subscriptions, and rollovers into three API functions without requiring webhooks. Users can flexibly add features like referral programs, multiple subscription groups, usage analytics, and centralized billing as they scale without rewriting code or managing migrations.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live and work in London, United Kingdom, and after YC we would base the company there too.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We are based in London and intend to stay here. The London startup ecosystem is strong for B2B SaaS and AI companies, which fits our target market well.
