Upon implantation, this tissue will supplement the patient's renal function, eliminating their dependency on dialysis and improving their disease status. We currently live in San Diego, CA. After YC, we plan to keep the company based here to maintain close ties to our research partners and clinical collaborators.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Diego is a biotech hub with strong academic and clinical resources. Being here lets us work closely with surgeons and researchers to develop an implantable kidney tissue tailored for patients.
