We built Downtobid to help general contractors automatically identify scopes of work from construction plans, find qualified local subcontractors, and send personalized bid invitations. It speeds up a slow, manual process with AI models trained to understand the language of construction documents and match firms accurately.
We live in Los Angeles, CA, and the company is based there with some remote team members, which allows us to stay close to major construction markets and clients.
LA has a large, active construction industry and many subcontractors, so it's the best place to build and test a product like ours. Remote work helps us hire the right talent without geographical limits.
